Our Scholarship Programs

We have approximately 100 Feinstein Leadership Scholarships available to Feinstein Jr. Scholars, especially those having participated in our campaign to fight hunger, at the following colleges: The University of Rhode Island, Rhode Island College, Salve Regina University, Roger Williams University, Johnson & Wales University and New England Tech and over 300 more scholarships every year for part time students at the URI Feinstein College of Continuing Education.

There are also two $10,000 scholarships yearly at Providence College for Feinstein Jr. Scholars who wish to major in public service and several yearly $10,000 Louis Feinstein Memorial Scholarships for students excelling in community service for use at any RI college or university. Most colleges also match the Louis Feinstein Scholarships, making their value $20,000 each and Roger William University matches them 4 to 1 to make their value at Roger Williams $50,000 each.

There are also several scholarships available each year for students interested in the course in philanthropy at the Feinstein Institute of Philanthropic Leadership at RI College.

Please note that the Feinstein Foundation does not choose the recipients of any of these scholarships. †That is solely up to the colleges to select the recipients (with the exception of the Louis Feinstein Memorial Scholarship, whose administration is currently under review).

Any Feinstein Jr. Scholars applying for scholarships at any of the above colleges or universities should note on their application form when they were a Feinstein Jr. Scholar, with the schoolís name and date, attaching a copy of their Jr. Scholar card if they still have it and noting and noting any participation they had in our campaign to fight hunger.Because of the unknown number of Feinstein Jr. Scholars applying for scholarships at the above schools in any given year, there can be no guarantee that every Feinstein Jr. Scholar applicant will get one (that is at the sole determination of the college/university) but it WILL give them a definite advantage in obtaining one.

Should any Feinstein Jr. Scholar lose his or her Feinstein Jr. Scholar card, just send me a stamped, self addressed envelope stating when and where you received your original card and requesting a replacement to: 37 Alhambra Circle, Cranston, RI 02905.Aside from the potential for scholarships for holders of that card, it now also affords them and a guest free admission to hundreds of dollars worth of local entertainment.

Good luck.Iím proud of every one of our Jr. Scholars and all other boys and girls who reach out to help others.
